Learning to laugh [at your mistakes] along with other life lessons. =)

Where to start...  "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.." I definitely had a good dose of that today. Here's the story... So I was making blueberry muffins, and I read the directions, but not well enough. Here's what they looked like...

Yup, they were blue.  I put the sauce in the batter instead of plain blueberries. I had a good laugh and was slightly embarrassed when I realized what I had done. Thankfully they still tasted okay, and now I know if you ever want blue blueberry muffins that's what you do.

More pics from life in the kitchen... and if you want to learn patience in the kitchen. Make tapioca. =]

It's beginning to look a lot like fall... [and feel like it too]

Here's a picture of my lil girl dream come true.

They seriously are some of the most comfy and warmest things I've ever worn on my feet.

Other happenings this week... the newest member of the Keller family & BLC has arrived. =) We're so thankful that Andrea is here and doing well. It was so good to hold a lil baby again. Along with my dear friend Katrina who returned to fill in for Carly while she's gone.

A verse I read this morning:

The LORD  is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and HE knoweth them that trust in Him.
Nahum 1:7

What a comfort it is to know that God knows. He knows what we're going through, and He cares. He never leaves us to walk through the hard times alone, instead He walks right there with us. If we trust Him, and place ourselves in HIS hands, He so gently leads the way.

"God, whatever comes my way I will trust You..." [I long for this to be not only the cry of my heart, but also where my heart truly is] to completely rest in the goodness & faithfulness of my Abba Father. To know that He already knows... and to not just sit on my hands while waiting on Him, but instead raise my hands in praise of the One who gave it all.

This week has been a good one over all... there were "good-byes" on Tues. and there will be another "good-bye" next week. It certainly has been & will be a year of change for me. Though I see God's hand in it all and can't help but smile, even if there has been [and will be] times of tears. I have so much to thank Him for!
Working in the kitchen has been a good kind of challenge. Learning new things & remembering things I had learned at one time and had forgotten. It's been good working with Amy & I enjoy making memories with her.

May God whisper peace to your heart... may you rest in His unfailing love.
[all for now, God's Canada girl]

P.S. Someone said that they're calling for snow [< yes, you read that right] today or tomorrow, so we shall see. =)

Precious memories how they linger, how they ever flood my soul...

I'll let the pictures tell the story this time.
It's hard for me to believe at times that this beautiful view is just outside my door.

Sometimes you do epic memory making things... like making cookies in the middle of the night after attempting to sleep on the dock and getting rained out.

Later on that day some of us went out on the water and enjoyed a lovely boat ride.

See if you can find the eagles' nest in the next picture. =)

If that wasn't enough of adventure for one day.... One of the guys shot a bear [that was an answer to prayer] and we all piled in the truck and got to see them bring it in. It was an exciting Labor Day to say the least.
Yes, God is good!
